In a close game the Jefferson Park Penguins got by the Chainsaw Proctologists
by the score of 6 to 4.
Jefferson Park came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning when
they scored 4 runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Ryan Doumit who made the
crowd happy when he doubled which was good for two runs. Chainsaw threatened
in the 9th but Jefferson Park was able to put down the rally.
The win was credited to Joey Devine(2-0) who went 1 inning allowing no runs.
Takashi Saito was credited with his 20th save. The loss was charged to Ryan
Speier(1-3) in relief.
Steve Seydell was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making good
contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love winning
these tight ones! It was just our day - no doubt about it!'
